One of, if not the finest goalkeepers I've had the pleasure of watching has sadly passed away.

Lance for me was an entertainer as well as an excellent goalkeeper and is fondly remembered as one of the first goalkeepers to wear an all yellow kit which brought light to many dismal away grounds during his career with us under the stewardship of Mr Ken Waterhouse, still for me one of the finest managers our club has ever had.

RIP Lance and thank you for many hours of entertainment.

I remember Lance well. He was a larger than life figure and very friendly. If I remember correctly he lived in a club house on Acre Moss Lane. RIP Lance, a shrimp legend.

Sad news. I remember him well from our glory years in the Combination. One of the squad in our last Championship winning side. A great character and 'keeper, and as has been said, a Shrimps legend.

RIP
Martin
