Harry Gunter's goal

Harry Gunter's goal

Postby Keith » Wed Feb 25, 2009 6:54 pm

Just been shown on Granada "we've saved the best 'til last... ...there won't have been a better goal scored anywhere in Europe last night..." What a cracker!

BBC local news simply mentioned the result... Oh' hang on, no they didn't even mention the score :?

ITV local news from now on.
“Britain faces a simple and inescapable choice - stability and strong Government with me, or chaos with Ed Miliband: ".

David Cameron. May 4th 2015.
So how did that work out then?

BBC were disapointing to say the least. Great complement about Garry's goal, very Scholesesque for me. great hit, great goal, great result.

Gary was in an almost identical position but put it in the opposite, top corner and the kick was taken from the other side, so much nearer to him. Therefore, yes, even better than that one!

Incredible!!! Forward 'Seeking' to 20:12.

I've just watched it 10 times and it just gets better every time!

Looks like Gary was quite pleased unall. :D

For some reason, ITV won't work for me. Just checked Virgin Media to find the other 3 matches from last night online; nothing from Blundell Park though. :(

What the hell's going on?

Saturday, Stewart Drummond fails to clear the stand with his shot (some netting got in the way!) and now Garry Hunter fails to shoot tamely at the keeper! ;)

That was a goal of the highest quality. Any Striker would dream of catching a volley like that, let alone a midfielder.

As for local TV coverage. It's the one time ITV beats the BBC - they usually show the pick of all the local League goals - The BBC do well to show anything below the Championship.

Yep, on World now. Great goal, slightly better than Drummies at Aldershot IMO and unless we see somebody score from the half-way line, surely goal of the season for us? You'd have thought it would be a contender for Leagues best goal of the season also. Superb technique, nice to see us scoring some goals from distance, 'walk it in the net' goals have been order of the day since the Harvey years.

Also, great ball in from Wainer on for Twiss' goal. His form really has improved.
