The new CEO is hoping for 3,000 season ticket holders per the latest podcast. Nice to have such positive people in key positions in the club. PMG towards the end treated the fans like mushrooms , best kept in the dark and fed sh*t.

With a lot of people's payday for May coming in the next few days I would expect a big increase in the numbers.

3000 season ticket holders? That is madness. This club is going from strength to strength, what a time to be a Morecambe fan.

Good numbers so far. Season starts in two months so I am sure we'll have at least 2500 by then. Maybe 3000 is possible

We're getting to a stage where people who are in two minds as to whether they get a season ticket, will get one because otherwise they may not be able to get a ticket to a game once the season starts! :D

Update on Wednesday with Standing at 774 and Seated at 649.

Only 6 more of Standing to trigger first price adjustment...... :) :) :)....as of today Thursday it may have already been triggered.... :?: :?: :?:

Superb effort to date with still a while to go before start of the season despite money being tight for many.

Very promising numbers for standing so far - obviously for seating there is an incentive to renew in order to retain your existing seat, but for standing there is no such urgency/deadline atm.

I have not yet renewed my season ticket, but will be doing in the next month.... Most of the people I attend games with are the same (lastminute.com). I think we will sell 1500 of these alone (again) - which is incredible really when you think it was not that long ago when we'd sell below 800 in total (seats and standing).

Especially for the seats which were often very hard to get with very few available on the website as soon as the ticket sales opened for each home match. Given how few tickets there were available, I'm not sure how the higher discount tier wasn't triggered. I wonder if it's even possible to hit the 1,000 season ticket sales in the seated area given that so many are "blocked out" for hospitality, press, scouts, players' families, etc.

That’s an interesting point KenH. If the stand capacity is in the region of 2000, and you make deductions for away fans, the no man’s seats that are covered, a maximum allowance for Local Choice diners, complimentary tickets for players, visiting guests, etc, club scouts, home club staff(non match day ) players not involved, you may well be right that it is touch and go if the 1000 could be achieved. Surely that’s not a cunning plan is it?

I'd imagine we still have over 1000 seats for home fans, maybe 1100ish in total.

Last season there was a deadline to lock in the prices. We kept selling season tickets beyond this. Particularly those wanting a seat, guaranteeing them one whether they turned up or not.

maybe reduce the away allocation for more of our own ?

like take all the seating back A & B sections, just leaving the terrace behind the goal, plus it would be easier to Steward and Police too then.

Does anyone know how many seats are taken by 'Lifetime Ticket' holders ?

A friend of mine bought one for 1k all those years ago. I wonder how many are still being used.

I think under EFL regulations we have to offer a % of our capacity to the visiting club, and that where the stadium is not all seated is to include seats and terracing, so I don’t think we would be able to reclaim Both blocks of seats. As to Life Time season tickets, I seem to remember a figure of 27/28 being mentioned a number of years ago, however that was Christie Park days

Were they ever available post-Christie Park days?

It's very disrespectful to us Life Time Season Ticket holders, when the club does such fantastic season ticket deals nowadays. It completely undermines our investment!

Keith, I think initially after the move they were still available, but the price quoted to enquirers was more than likely prohibitive and the conditions of transfer we less attractive, so very few were taken up so the scheme sort of ran down.

I enquired about a lifetime season ticket last season after (cough) Beyond Radio became involved, shall we say, and was quoted 7k.
At 150quid for this season if we sell enough, it looks as though it’s been priced deliberately to discourage, fair enough.
Cant see me being on the planet long enough to justify the lifetime. :D

Life season tickets started at a grand I seem to remember when we were raising funds for the new North Stand. After that, they crept up but were roughly the equivariant of a ten year season ticket. If they are asking £7K for one now I guess they aren't keen on selling them.

They were an absolute bargain in 1997! I thought we would do well to stay in the conference league, never dreaming of getting to league one!! I did mention to Mr Rod Taylor at the time that if 500 people bought them there would be hardly anyone paying to get in in the future!! :D

Also know one that has just moved from c prem to be with friends elsewhere

i was quoted £6000 for a lifetime season ticket in C Prem but that was around when we had to raise £30.000 to pay wages that time.
