Sammy on Radio Lancashire...

...has confirmed that the loan deal with the player at Sunderland will not be going ahead as Fraser has made 'a quicker than expected' recovery and will be in the squad v Grimsby along with new signing Duffy who Sammy reckons is more of a team player than CB.

Fraser's return is due in no small part to the excellence of our medical staff who have introduced new healing technology into the player's recovery, as well as that to 'our 'enry' who is now out with a virus.

Robbie Weir, according to Sammy on Radio Lancs tonight. No longer needed due to Fraser returning from injury (and presumably Duffy coming in). Seems to be an out-and-out reserve player.... http://www.safc.com/team/?page_id=2623&player_id=116

..and it was mentioned by Southport's Alan Smart that the transfer fee of Carl Baker to Stockport was £175,000.

Asked if Duffy could make the next step, AS said that with hard work possibly but that he would have to improve his delivery into the box as well as knowing when best to release the ball.

But he also said that he was an exciting player who took people on.
