Train travel Sunday O/T

Having now, thankfully, managed to get a ticket for Wembley on Sunday I am looking at train travel.
It looks like £70 is the best I can find (Preston to Euston - 9am down, 19.25 back). Two singles isn't cheaper, according to the website.

Anyone any hints as to how I may be able get it cheaper or does that sound about right?

(Not travelled on trains much recently).

Thanks.

Jubilee Line to Wembley, you can stop at the Swiss Cottage for a pre match pint, much better than the pubs round the ground.

Yeah sounds like fun as they often have repair work going on at weekends and sunday looks no different :x

The trip on the Jubilee line from Euston is rather scenic and you will need time to do all the line changes. If you walk to Euston Square you can catch a direct train on the Metropolitan line with a lot less stops. Check for repair work and go and get yourself an underground map ! ;)
