Training at the Mazuma

Training at the Mazuma

In his post match interview SR mentioned that we are now training at the ground. Wonder if the move away from the Uni is permanent or until the pitches there are not effected by the weather which may have resulted in them being soft under foot resulting in a number of unfortunate training accidents.

:?: :?: :?:

It's often been said that the Uni as a training base is a show piece to encourage potential player to join the club. It's loss may be detrimental in SR's attempt to bring in new players hence why I hope that come pre season training we will revert back to its facilities.

No idea but perhaps SR is mixing things up. Training elsewhere saves the pitch in winter but changing to the Mazuma will have its benefits too. Familiarisation, catering etc

Maybe no good for this season, but if the club could come to some arrangement with Tyson F. to replace the pitches at the back with turf, it could help with cost, injuries, and as Robbo intimated, familiarity.

It would be interesting to know more about this. The training at the university also offered hydrotherapy and gym etc, so much more than simply the pitches.

So how did that work out then?
