Sounds like a bargain! Cheap entry and someone arranging cheap transport too! Come on people! :D

My wife & I had to visit St Neots. By pure coincidence you understand ...we will be down there for the weekend when Morecambe visit Oxford... be rude not to!   See you all there.

Tenner is a bargain and Oxford is a good away day. Hopefully we can take a few hundred. Is it the same price on the day? What pre-match pup are fans heading to?

No marquee nowadays, so the bowling alley has a few young dogs in there

Well done for taking the time and effort to organize transport. Let's hope that all those who said they would go .....turn up..... :) :) :)

Really sad to hear Tom received abuse for his efforts and has been left £200 out of pocket due to people not turning up. If the people involved had any decency, they'd pay up anyway.

And then people wonder why transport isn't arranged?

Good noise made by those who did go though.

Disgraceful attitude by a small minority who probably had no intention of going in the first place.

With that sort of mindless attitude then I question if they really are true fans....which I doubt very much. Whoever they are..are bast***s....

Maybe the next time somebody takes the time and effort to organize a coach that all those who say they will go have a maximum of 24 hours to pay the full cost with no return if they don't turn up.

I worked at the same place for over 40 years and we built up a decent social scene. So test matches at Manchester, racing trips etc' etc'. One thing we learnt was when taking bookings we requested a decent deposit, otherwise on the day there would be many no shows with every excuse under the sun. It was really frustrating.

This was from folk we knew so expecting strangers to honour a verbal agreement to turn up on the day is a non starter. Coaches cost a small fortune nowadays so it's really a thankless task trying to organise any sort of mass away transport.

Sorry to hear this. I hope something can be set up in the future by the club or trust though but it will need settling up properly to reduce the risk. From experience of running coaches from the uni to football matches I found you could negotiate a coach and a driver and change the size depending on demand. I hired coaches from 25 seats to 110 and could make a coach bigger or smaller depending on demand. I also negotiated a cancellation date, so if sales were really poor you could cancel. All seats were sold by paying upfront in full. No refunds but you could change a name on a booking. At sale the possibility of a cancellation was highlighted and if this happened a full refund would be offered. Luckily I never had to cancel and most coaches were pretty full. Pay on the day was always going to be troublesome.
