SR and the need for new faces in the next transfer window

Obviously SR is annoyed at our inability to defend set plays but that has been a theme even under previous managers.

He seems to suggest that changes need to be made as certain players are not doing the basics.

The next transfer window is some time away so those with the shirt at the moment need to have a desire to keep their shirt or by the sounds of it changes will be made.

He was delighted with the performance of Scot Wootton so we need more players with his experience and determination not to be beaten at set plays.

Your posts swing wildly RR. One minute you are calling for youth to be given a chance and the next calling for players with more experience.

All managers have to prove themselves when they move to a club to show that they don’t just talk a good job but can indeed do a good job. I feel at the moment the manager talks a good job in his interviews but has yet to prove himself in the organisation of the players and in his coaching to make them better players.

It's a long time until January so hopefully things will pick up well before.

The only new faces we could sign until then are free agents and we must have a hefty wage bill already.

A player we had on trial , striker Fondop has signed for Hartlepool this week.

IMO, at this stage of the season, this thread is silly. We are six games into a season. In a higher league. Yes I agree in the past two games we have not defended these properly, but let's not forget it is a whole new backline that we have put together, So maybe the players need time? Let's hope we work on defending set pieces in training tomorrow. My bigger concern at the moment is other than Cole, we have nobody who looks like scoring. So hopefully Ayunga can be back soon. I also think we need to get Wildig in the team along with McPake as i'm not yet convinced by Wes And Arthur.

No apology necessary.

We're ALL in this together and only want what is best for our club.

Listen to he Pre Crewe interview talking about needing experience and voices on the pitch.

Also he mentions the January Window again.
