History in the making.

History in the making.

Postby Phoenix Shrimp 2017 » Fri Aug 13, 2021 6:55 pm

Well folks we've been around for just over 100 years and tomorrow is, excluding cup games, the highest level we've ever played at in our home town!

Who'd have thought that a few short years ago in 2017, when we were in the hands of crooks and charlatans aka Lemos and Cala, and it really looked for a while like we were going down the pan.

At that point I amongst many others was despairing and really thought we would have to reform the club if we were to continue. My new user name came about at that time because I really felt that was it for us as a football league team. Since then the actions of many heroes have pulled the club around and we are now unrecognisable from what we were then.

Lets all celebrate the future. The atmosphere at the Mazuma for the first EFL1 game should be superb if the Ipswich and Rovers games are anything to go by and it really does seem like a Bright New Brand Tomorrow.

UTS.

It would be nice to see the two blokes with the fireworks back for today's game, was a Christie Park highlight.

Hopefully I can Boogie will be played on loop from 2pm onwards and ELO banished to the bin.

The young lads got us all singing along with them on Tuesday and I hope they carry it on today, they were brilliant.
