Looks to be on his way after 8 fantastic years on and off the pitch. I wish him the very best wherever he goes.

Thanks for the memories of some terrific battling displays. Will always remember those times you had to go into goal...never let us down. All the best for the future.

Possibly a return to Stockport or even to tie up again with Jimbo....whoever it is is getting one hell of a player totally committed to the team and club.

All you can ever ask from a player is that they give their all once they have crossed that white line and Alex did that. A proper fans fav and wish him well

Thanks Alex. You put in a great shift for our club. With a recent EFL 2 promotion on your CV you should hopefully get fixed up very soon.

A great servant for our club , a real unsung hero. Those saves to keep Northampton out when we really needed a win were top drawer.

Possible destinations ? Stockport from where we signed him. AFC Fylde and Jim who signed him for us.

Would imagine one of the lowest earners in the squad but absolutely one of the most loyalist. What he lacked in techinal ability more than made up in passion, heart and determination and seems like he loved every minute playing for our club! Good luck Alex #alexkenyonisared

Great contribution over the years especially when it was most needed. A loyal honest team player throughout.

Good luck Alex. I'm sure there'll be a few clubs wanting your services. Hope you get the one that's right for you.

Great bloke and a fantastic servant to the club.

Wonder if Barrow would be a decent club for him in League Two, or As mentioned, Fylde for obvious connections?

Top lad. No big ego. Always put the club first. He'll benefit whichever club he goes to.

It states that 'with 17 players left in the (scunthorpe) squad the manager is left with a major rebuild to do" :o How does that leave us

Not quite!

Seventeen players left the club, leaving the Scunthorpe boss with a major rebuilding job to do, and he already looks as though he could miss out on one of his targets.”

Neil Cox gave that interview last season where he ripped the attitude of his squad to bits. If he signs Alex not only is he getting a good player he is getting a cracking pro. Chuffed for the lad.

Really pleased he's got sorted. Scunthorpe will be getting a good player who will give no less than 100%. I hope he becomes as popular there as he was here.

It's testimony to how far we've come, that a club who were in the Championship a decade ago are now signing players who we've released as not being good enough for us.
