I'm guessing it will be the same team almost as Thursday, just with Gibson back in or if DA isn't sure about his hamstring for 90 mins, Mellor at RB and Cooney LB.

I'm wondering if Derek will throw a surprise and change formation. Listening to the tranmere manager he had us worked out quite well and said he knew what to expect from us so do we mix it up and confuse them.

He may have known what to expect but it didn't do them much good did it?

Tranmere did well in the first half but once DA had a word or two at half time they were left unable to get close to our goal. We pretty much controlled the second half and stopped them putting their mainly aimless crosses in, left them playing sideways and backwards football like we used to play!

They will have to go at us, right from the start. I wonder if our best response may actually be to go at them straight from kick-off, before they get any rhythm?

It's stating the bleedin' obvious, but the first goal is so important. If we score first, they will be under massive pressure and they'll leave more gaps for us to exploit.

One thing for sure, we've got a mentally tough, physically fit group of lads who will be battling to the end.

They have to score so will have to have a go at us. We are at our best on the counter attack so this will hopefully play into our hands.

We must also keep all 11 players on the pitch!! There were many attempts to wind our players up On Thursday. Discipline will be crucial.

DEFINITELY THIS!!!

They will be employing every trick in the book to get a player sent off. If we keep 11 v 11 we're favourites to progress.
