As usual the powers that be will protect the useless ref rather than the passionate and justified manager.

Referee Graham Salisbury should be charged with hopeless refereeing! I would be happy to donate to any fine DA received in much the same way when Jimbo was fined as a result of Michael Salisbury’s poor performance a couple of years ago. I notice he has been promoted to Championship refereeing. What a joke!

Agree with this, hopefully the trust can organise a virtual whip-round?

Graham Salisbury should be charged for the heinous crime of impersonating a match official and obstructing 22 footballers in the execution of their duties :D :D
But as already said the ref is always defended, I wonder if the ref cited foul and abusive language, as I understand Derek is not a swearer :D

Derek has confirmed he was sent off due to...

Kicking a water bottle in the opposition managers’ technical area.

So did D.A. kick the bottle into the opposition technical area, or did he enter their area and kick the bottle ?

Sending off rules are here: https://theifab.com/laws/chapter/32/section/94/

Take your pick really, I think Derek probably ticks a few of those boxes!

deliberately leaving the technical area to:
  • show dissent towards, or remonstrate with, a match official
  • act in a provocative or inflammatory manner
entering the opposing technical area in an aggressive or confrontational manner

deliberately throwing/kicking an object onto the field of play

T-s
Thanks for that makes good reading
Found this strange,in reality the stand should have managers in most weeks :D
Send off rule

entering the field of play to:

confront a match official (including at half-time and full-time)

Seems to happen in most games :D

I understand the Trust are going to discuss my suggestion that we collect from fans donations to DA’s fine. I am hopeful we will be given details shortly of how we contribute.

Will update you Bill when I hear back from Trust. I hope in these difficult times we can show solidarity to DA and acknowledge the fantastic job he has done.

I understand the trust approached the club and manager about the fine. Apparently he was touched by the offer that fans contribute but he would prefer we support other charitable causes. We obviously have to respect his wishes and i am sure the trust will tell us more.

I'd be happy for Derek to nominate a charity and we donate an equivalent amount there? To me it's more about the gesture of support for our manager, I'm not ultimately fussed where the money ends up.

That sounds a good suggestion, Tim. Let the trust know your idea as I understand they are open to suggestions!

Mrs Sak has suggested that we contribute the £10 we were going put to his fine to Morecambe Bay foodbank.
