What do we do now? May as well have a go!
Kepa a bit suspect, but we looked buggered for the 2nd goal

They have obviously seen Cole as our main threat and have marked him very tightly.

Unfortunate with the timing of that 2nd goal, acquitted ourselves really well defensively. No point in damage limitation, get at them now. COYS.

No way....just poor defending to not be aware of man coming in.

What do you expect of a multi million pound striker.... :?: :?: :?:

Good first half, hard-luck chance from Phillips. Cole doing brilliant. Defence and midfield working hard against world-class players. No disgrace, very proud so far. Hope we see AJ and McAlinden 2nd half. COYS!!!

I'd like to see us going for it now. We're not going to come back in to it, so no difference between losing 3-0 or 6-1. Let's have a go and see if we can get 3-1!

Songo our MOTM so far, broke up a lot of play, making them go wide.

Beaten by a top side. Not embarrassed and lots of positives. Would have been nice to see a Morecambe goal, but this is a good warm up game after our two matches postponed in the League.

Good effort from the boys.

Think the time off for COVID didn't help, we looked pretty tired.

We go again on Saturday!

No disappointment in 4-0, the guys should be proud of themselves. With a squad of internationals out, they should have expected to score 7 or 8.

Great effort by the lads. Hopefully next season we can get a rubbish PL side like Leeds in the 3rd round.

Thought we were outstanding, their quality showed as you'd expect, what about that double save from Halstead!

How much do you think a Morecambe shirt, signed by the Chelsea team would raise for the hospice? It would be a lovely gesture from Chelsea if they signed all the shirts, it could raise a fair few thousand pounds for St John's.

2nd goal was the killer goal right on half time

Decent defensive performance

Chelsea only had 7 attempts on target

ALSO DONT FORGET WE HAVENT PLAYED FOR TWO WEEKS and hardly trained either

Think the Chelsea shirts were tucked up inside our lads shorts at the end of the game! Quite right too. Good effort against top players. Now back to that promotion battle! :D

How much could a Frear/Pete Johnson consortium get together?

Where do these commentators get their info from----only Morecambe's 2nd time in the 3rd round.
Ipswich twice---I make that a third time!!!

Could have been a wee bit more adventurous in the second 45 but their 2nd killled it for me.

So proud that our lads played with pride and didn''t give too many foulscaway which showed that we played the game in the right spirit.

MoM for me was a toss up between Davies and Songo. Such a shame that Carlos appeared tro have instructions to keep to the bye line and track his full back.

Congrats to Crawley and their win v Leeds.

Back to the bread and butter for us but raises question marks v Pringle who wasn't even in the party.

Maybe a loan for him with someone else coming in :?: :?: :?:

New lad Lyons must be rated by Rovers who need to see him play regularly. I'm surprised that we've got him with his record of goals to date.

Couldn't care les what others outside the club think about our performance.

I'm very, very pleased and proud to be associated with such a great club....both on and off the pitch.
