If Phillips makes a return then I wouldn't be surprised to see us loan out a player....maybe Alex...or Conlon :?: :?: :?:

One thing for sure is that it's going to be interesting to see team selections at the start of the season.

Formation wise could be 3 4 3 or 3 5 2.

The ideal midfield in my eyes would be Toums, Pringle, Carlos and Wildig

so no place for phillips assuming he signs...... very strange choice

if phillips is suspended for first 2 games perhaps its not official that we will sign him yet to save on wage bill perhaps ? !

DA gave Kenyon a contract and he's the only cover/competition we have for Diagouraga in defensive midfield, strongly doubt he'd get loaned out. Conlan will probably be back up/competition to Hendrie, so him leaving wouldn't make sense either. If anyone goes on loan it'll likely be a youngster like Price, or a first teamer that DA doesn't fancy and feels we have adequate cover for in that position.

If Phillips comes in (which is looking likely) I think that's us sorted in centre midfield - Diagouraga, Kenyon, Wildig, Phillips and maybe Pringle depending on where DA sees him as.

Would be surprised if we went with a back three, DA mainly used 4-3-3 and Plymouth fans say he has a preference for 4-2-3-1. My guess would be either of these formations. If it's 4-2-3-1, wonder if there might be a spot for CMG at number 10?

Could have sworn I've seen it somewhere we are getting Phillips, because I was getting them mixed up on MF and RB.

I know he’s been with us before and it’s a loan but Cooney is a gem of a signing. One of the finest players I’ve seen in a Morecambe shirt. For me he’s easily Championship standard and fully expected him to be loaned to a club at that level. Outstanding work to get him.

Sounds very promising. When's Sancho signing?
