Is it the date when it was confirmed that we had new owners having agreed in principal a sale that would see them in charge for the next 2 seasons.

We won at Wembley
The new ownership wasn't officially announced until 1st May, so the 2 yr thing was later, which has basically now run out

Yes , this is the major event in history that I was referring to.
Who also knew it was the same day that Dennis Law back-heeled a winner for Man City at Old Trafford that confirmed Man United's relegation.
Apparently Morecambe's win at Wembley that day was put up on the scoreboard at Old Trafford and there was a huge cheer.
