FA Cup 4th Qualifying Round

We'll know who we face in Round 1 of the FA Cup on Monday (if not sometime over the weekend) as the 4th Qualifying Round is this weekend.

Have to say that I can't look forward to the game with any enthusiasm and the follow up that could follow IF we under perform yet again.

Forget the FA Cup we have three massive league games before then

No one will be scared of drawing us in the 1st Round

can't forget the FA Cup! A run in that and the budget will improve. Though we probably need to get to the sixth round! :o ;)

I’ve just read an article on the BBC sport league 2 site which said the FA Cup 1st round draw is on Thursday????

Maybe the FA Cup money(some of it) should be used as "Win Bonus Payments" to the players?

worth trying something different, i know people reading this will be going off it saying to themselves players shouldn't be bribed into trying, but Accrington Stanley have been doing win bonus payments with great success.

Then maybe we might get a decent cup run and pay day or new buyer?

Are Lancaster, Barrow and Southport still involved?

I think Barrow will beat Solihull in their home game and MFC will draw Barrow away in 'The Bay Derby' or 'El Sandicco' with a replay at home.

Andy, good shout, worth a do for me.
If we win the first round tie we get 36k, so could pay a decent wedge and still leave plenty for the club.
Nothing to lose, is there?

And if it works could look at trying it in the league, ie. if we stay up they get a bonus at the end the season or more for the pay-offs etc.

It would/could mean less money for the club(owners) for running it day to day but potentially we'd become more succesfull on the pitch.

An interesting article on our old NPL colleagues Colne Dynamoes as the "new" club Colne FC play in the 4th Qualifying Round this coming Saturday:

That would be a dream scenario for me. Colne beat Gateshead and we are drawn away there in the first round, 10 minute journey for me. Hard to believe but Holt House has changed very little from the Dynamos days. The same wooden stands on four sides are still there! Must be a chance of live TV too if it came to pass. I can but dream, Forest Green away is probably more likely!

UTS.

I wonder whatever happened to the chap who supported both Colne Dynamoes and Morecambe?

Peter I think he was called and lived in Burnley. Always brought his son with him and spent a fortune in our programme shop at Christie Park.

He attended the 3 Morecambe v Colne games in the 1989/90 season (2 in the league and 1 in the cup) wearing a Morecambe scarf and a Colne hat.

There's a few of us with an attachment to two clubs, good on the bloke for firmly nailing his colours to the mast :D

Barrow gone, Halifax gone. Hartlepool, Darlo, Chorley, Gateshead, Alty and Fylde still there.

It's unregionalised though. Probably get Wycombe, Oxford or Cheltenham away.

Quite fancy Dulwich Hamlet

Where are you seeing today's results? Not many showing on BBC yet for me.

Indeed Dulwich Hamlet would be good!

Appalling going on at Haringey

Match v Yeovil abandoned as Haringey keeper racially abused and also hit with object

Totally disgusting

York 2-0 up at half time, home to Stockport (live on BT). They're soon to move grounds so I'd love to draw them at Bootham Crescent if it means we visit there one last time!
