Highly rated by their fans. Whilst on the subject of Bury, they are going to be loosing a lot of quality players tomorrow with deals not being sorted out and contracts expiring. Could Jimbo have tempted any of them who might want to stay in the northwest?

We couldn't afford Mayor.

Not sure which other Bury players will be available but they won't come cheap.

Unless he's desperate on staying in the North West, I'd imagine him and others will likely join Ryan Lowe at Plymouth.

Ryan Lowe as previously mentioned on Sky Sports that he would probably be taking quite a few players down to Plymouth with him

Bury are in a real mess - Will they even start the season as a football league club

Danny Mayor has also been in talks with Ipswich.

You're living in cloud cuckoo land if you think we've got any chance of getting him.

Bury have been kicked out of the Carrington training ground by Man City. They had it rent free but have allowed it to fall in to disrepair. The players turned up today to be met with no Manager or coaches and the grass was too long to train on because the Groundsman has been sacked.

He was wanting to go back down South. Originally at Watford. I think Jim will have known he wasn't returning and he probably knew that with Mills , Bennett and Collins.

Diverting slightly O/T but from the BBC site.....

Ex-Everton striker Paul Wilkinson has been named manager of League One side Bury less than two weeks after signing a two-year deal as Truro City boss.

The 54-year-old was appointed caretaker boss of Truro in March but was unable to save them from relegation from National League South.

Bury are in a serious pickle. Will Aimson just joined Danny Mayor down at Plymouth. Nicky Maynard signed for Mansfield today. Jay O'Shea gone to Australia with Brisbane Roar. Nicky Adams already moved to Northampton. Key players from their squad last season absolutely decimated.

We have signed John O'Sullivan , winger.

A seriously good signing , he murdered us a year or 2 back when he was at Accrington.

Blackpool fans say Max is very injury prone. Represented England all through the youth levels

Fair point, only single figures in appearances in two years with hamstring trouble at Pool. Perhaps a division too high for him? Who knows?
Jim will be assessing him no doubt.

I suppose it's a result of our limited budget that stops us getting some real quality in and that JB and Co have to rely very much on players who have had a history of late of injuries or for some reason have not performed on a consistent basis with former clubs resulting in us being only able to attract a certain level of player.

No criticism just as I see it.

Just feel that we still need a midfield dynamo to give some protection to our defense.

Plenty of time still for more additions.....but to date JB and Co have certainly been busy. :D :D

RB was surplus to requirements at Carlilse and Collins hadn't exactly set the world on fire at any of his previous numerous clubs and for what it's worth it wouldn't surprise me if his move to FGR proves fruitless.

You surely can't argue that we do appear to sign some players who have had injuries and have for whatever reason lost form. BUT those same players are fully aware of JB's reputation of resurrecting players careers hence why they sign on.

Totally agree. Just a bit of “ tongue in cheek.” Hoping that some of JB’s new signings can come up trumps like RB and AC did.

Attracted PL clubs attention as a teen and Liverpoo once offered one million for him according to Wiki. Still only 24 so not many miles on the clock. Didn't play at all last season due to the Hamstring injuries. Bit of a gamble on that evidence but he must have had a bit about him once.

Again, commiserations to Flemmo on having to call time on his footballing career through injury.
Lionel Ainsworth, who was on trial earlier on in pre-season, has impressed in Bradford’s pre-season games - Bradford played a whole XI of trialists against Brighouse Town and he was one of the star performers, so the chances of him signing up with us is looking less and less likely.

Very short on forwards now if A-Jay has done a hamstring!
