For sake of stability manager should end any speculation

Haven't seen the visitor or anything yet but if it already hasn't happened could sammy at least end any speculation on the official web about the Cork City thing. This sort of stuff is never good preperation for League games or indeed the rest of the season. We've always thrived on stability so let's at least have some.

The speculation never really started as, according to the visitor yesterday, the approach was denied by the chairman and Sammy stated that he's happy to be at the club with the contract extension he just signed.

It is in the other thread, just tkes a bit of sifting to find the facts.

News of the approach came after the newspaper deadline but we put it online as soon as we had details, Bryan.

Lets not let the facts get in the way of a good story.

I assume you didn't catch this quote on the visitor site from the article that glen has posted a link to:

"I am glad that people like Cork are thinking of me but my heart is set here at Morecambe. I've just signed an extension to my contract which I was glad to do and our chairman has said 'no' to Cork which is good enough for me and the end of it as far as I'm concerned."

Not sure what else he can do really.

Fake banner on the Shrimp roundabout railings, "Sammy is 21 today P.S. He won't be spending it in Cork"
