Northampton Predictions.

Postby Sakhalin Shrimp » Tue Sep 15, 2015 12:50 pm

Predictions for this weekend's game please, Northampton at home.

Looking at the stats we should win this so I'm going for a 2-2 draw.

Mrs Sakhalin thinks it will be another 3 points for us at 2-1, hope she's right.

I know I've joked about this twice now, but with 4 wins on the bounce, goals coming from everywhere, we'll see a few tempted to return to the Globe for an exciting, thrilling, goalfest...

Yes, there were quite a few extras going to come along till they read your prediction ;)

Seriously, with the weather forecast OK and with the recent entertainment and league position, anything less than a 1,700 gate would be pathetic. In fact we should hope for 1,800+.

Going for a 3-0 win for the shrimps. Wilder, has had some success over the shrimps in the past, but as they have had a man sent off last week and with us playing a lot better attacking football,l this could be the time to beat them.

BM, if I hadn't already predicted it twice before this, I might have put something different up. I am absolutely not superstitious, so I'm not doing this because the last two have been, broadly, right, but I might as well stick to what I've been saying. I hope (and secretly believe) that I'll be entirely wrong ( :) ). As for the effect of my comment on the turnout ( ;) ), I think we all appreciate how few Morecambe fans actually use this social medium.

I'm really struggling with this one. In six home games against Northampton we've won err... none!

Northampton's away form has been patchy. Our home form hasn't been too bad.

Good weather, promotion of the game generally (flag day) and doing quite well in the League should result in a decent crowd... and we all know how that goes :?

My head is saying this is ripe for a mess-up and logically, I'm struggling to see past a Northampton win. Especially as we didn't play that well last week at Newport.

But... we've got a great team ethic and skill all over the pitch. I think if we go at them from the off and keep playing the way we have been, we could make it four wins from four league games.

So, yeah, go for it lads! 2-0 :D :D :D
