Walsall Prediction Thread.

Postby Sakhalin Shrimp » Mon Aug 31, 2015 4:30 pm

Predictions for Tuesday nights JPT game against Walsall at the Globe.

If the game finishes as a draw there will be no extra time played, it's straight to penalties so predictions stand as at the end of normal time.

Mrs Sak and myself are both going 1-1.

Much will depend upon what type of team we can put out. I'm guessing it will be anyone capable of tying their own boot laces as we're down below 'bare bones'. So while we would normally be taking this serious, I've a feeling it may be quite a weakened team with a few key players resting.

0-2 is my prediction...

:(

...but I'll be delighted with a gritty 0-0 then win on penalties!

I don't think the injuries and suspensions are significant as we would be making the maximum amount of allowed changes anyway. Is this 5 or 6 maybe? A quick look at the thread from this fixture last season will reveal the answer. Who do we know that likes to revive threads from the dead . Walsall are absolutely flying in League 1 and have a 3rd round tie with Chelsea in the slightly more important cup to look forward to. Therefore they will no doubt rest key players for this one which might just give us a chance.

Morecambe 3-1 walsall

2-1 home win to bare bones FC , there's no way Walsall will have been able to spot the team we put out tomorrow ;)

The thread is here, but you can't view it since the thing crashed

With Walsall flying at the moment, and with our injury issues, I don't think Jim'll take chances, and I'd go for a Walsall victory, so...

Morecambe 0 - 2 Walsall

Save the team for saturday.

I've been putting off making a prediction because I haven't a clue. Neither side will be putting out a full team. I think Jim will be more concerned with not getting any more injuries.....though we could do with the money a cup run of any sort brings.

Morecambe 1 Walsall 2
