As everyone on here is probably aware,the naming rights ,for the stadium are up for renewal,as yet, no one has come forward to buy the rights and have it renamed, so as it stands the name GLOBE ARENA is a bit of a mislabel, therefore why dont we have a ''fun poll'' to see what MFC fans on shrimpsvoices think it should be called,I can only think,in the main,of 2 apt names, either, the PMG stadium, or CHRISTIE PARK, I will start the ball rolling with a vote for........ CHRISTIE PARK, so come on,its a bit of fun, get voting!!

The Shrimpsvoices Arena has a nice sound to it!
I'd vote for keeping it as The Globe for the time being. If it started being called Christie Park for six months or more, it would be like a death in the family when it eventually gets a new official name.

thats a bit like...taking david ,from the name david steel, and owen, from the name david owen, to get a party leaders name for the former liberal sdp alliance!!! its a poll, not a fence!!

A big no from me re PMG, no disrespect to our chairman but initials always seem a lazy way of naming something. I'd just leave the name as it is for now til money is put forward for new naming rights. The Globe has become synonymous in the area, even for people who don't follow the team but have gone to functions there etc.

Never quite got why they are famous; so the sponsoring of a professional football club should put them on the map.

The unbranded name for me should be New Christie Park.
The name it should be is after the new retail park on the Frontierland site whenever it comes as we've had a year to sell it and none of the obvious names have put the money up.

"The Den" became "The New Den"
It could be named "The New Christie Park"
And when we have a sponsor , say Callender Caravans it could be "The Callender Caravans New Christie Park"
