Wonder if it will catch on? Quite useful for those without a season ticket, who can't attend most games

As a trial for the 2015/16 season, the new Flexi-Card will entitle a supporter to reduced admission to the terraces, with a ticket just £10 for a Sky Bet League Two home fixture.

The Daggers are introducing the Flexi-Card to assist supporters who, for whatever reason, can’t attend every home game but for whom we would still like to reward their loyalty.

The new Flexi-Card will cost just £50 and holders will be immediately entitled to the discounted admission price.

If you can only attend 7 matches you will start to see a saving, which will increase game by game. Attend 12 games and you will save a fantastic £58, more than enough to buy a new Daggers home shirt.

As an added bonus, Flexi-Card holders will also be entitled to priority Cup tickets after season tickets holders, but before they go on general sale

Am I right in thinking one of the main reasons for this kind of incentive is clubs prefer money upfront at the start of the season. If this is the case then incentives like this are great...but I honestly think we or others clubs could go further for example:

24 Game ticket, an alternative to a season ticket but at the same price, the 24 game tickets can be used on one game 2 games or 10 games, bring your friends loved ones or anyone interested in football.
12 -Same as above but for 12 games.
6 - Same as above but for 6 games.

these would be ideal for people who couldn't make every game but also for large groups looking for a discount, particularly the away following. Image if the club can somehow get a large cash injection at the start of the season from a section of the away fans.

I really think there is scope to cash in on away fans early. Another example might be we offered pre arrivals deals such as pies, peas and programs upfront...the beauty of this is the kitchen will have a much better idea of the number of pies to make, as well as how many programs to produce, they have mostly been paid for upfront so if they aren't collected then its not the club who loses out.

We really need to make the most of our assets and the pies is arguably our biggest unique identifier.

Tranmere are running an incentive for fans to get behind them in the conference and have raked in £350,000 up to now.

But what is the difference, other than a greater discount, to our own incentives. This doesn't cater for the fan who cant make every game, or capitalize on money up front from the away fans?

.....and not even an incentive to go to all the home preseason games this season by offering a package price.....

Agreed, you need to attract new fans, rather than give more discount to the "1400" that generally go anyway, but also make those 1400 feel appreciated now and again.

Tranmere fans will no doubt be expecting to watch a winning team in Non League, but they probably expected it in L2 as well.

That's on a similar theme ~ the regulars will go anyway (they hope) so why offer them more money off.

On that note , it will be interesting how many turn up on a Friday, rather than a Saturday

Great idea. Gets some cash in early doors and incentivises regular attendance. I would buy one and it would probably mean I would make more matches. It could be a great gift too for casual fans and would probably see them attend more too.

Our East Lancashire friends are offering something similar.
