On the evidence of the number of players on their books it's little wonder that their Chairman has decided to tighten the purse strings for this coming season. Their wage bill must have been horrendous
and was probably one of the highest in League 1.

Nathan Pond has been with The Cods ever since they re-formed and played in the second tier of the North West Counties League.

Looking at all those high earners leaving Fleetwood it appears that economic reality has come home to roost with Andy Pilley.

I wouldn't be surprised to see them back in League 2 in a relatively short time and maybe our slow cautious building job will see us in League 1.

Exactly my thoughts as well.

Already hearing that things are not going well in his business due to competition towards his energy supply companies.

They've signed Aberdeen striker McManus today hell be on big wages. I heard they were paying 10k towards Stephen dobbies wage last season too. Schumacher would be a good signing of we couldn't get wildig on a permanent basis

Just the simple matter of affording what would be high wages... :?: :?: :?:

For Schumacher ? I can't see him being flooded with offers to be honest he hasn't set league 1 alight an done a decent job for them last season. If he's not willing to relocate then there isn't many other clubs in league 2 I think we'd have a chance of signing him

big wages, don't think so

i'm sure Tony Capaldi or somebody else turned down Aberdeen and chose us because we(Morecambe) were paying more money in wages
