We are 4 games unbeaten since the two lads joined on loan

Carlisle 1-1
Exeter 1-1
Accrington 1-1
Bury 2-1

Would be nice to go unbeaten till end if season

I've noticed ward talks a lot more than stav an the defence seem to be comfortable with him in goal. Wildig links up very well with Fleming also. He'll only get better the more games he plays !

I would rather have lost two of them games and won the other two.

Why?

The points tally would be identical and chances are the goal difference wouldn't be as good

But that was before the Mansfield game, when we were attacking and good to watch.

just seen the
Carlisle 1-1
Exeter 1-1
Accrington 1-1
and it wound me up, it says everything about how the team is set up, resulting in poor home crowds and the hard core looking to drop below 1000 next season.

And plus reading this and the thought of going all season unbeaten with every game ending 1-1

Would be nice to go unbeaten till end if season

of course,no disrespect intended,if you dont go to the games, it doesn't matter how shit they are to watch, as long as we dont go down?

I think a good/realistic target for Jimbo and the team would be to get to the end of the season and to have won more league games than we've lost. To my mind that would be a big step forward, and is something Jimbo has not achieved yet as a manager. In the states, they call it a winning season, even if you don't progress into the postseason of actually win a trophy.

Home versus Portsmouth Burton and Southend

Away versus York and Wycombe.

Only Portsmouth with nothing to play for so real tough tests.

If we could finish with 3 wins a draw and a loss it would be our second best points tally.

3 wins in a month :o

Yes, Jim will be wanting to beat his best position to date of 15th with 63 points. We are currently on the same points and same wins we finished with last season and that Sammy had when he left.

Jim has lost 18 games every season, so as RRW and HS say it would be a good target to win 3 of the last 5

We have scored 44 goals, which is 8 short of last season, so 2 goals a game is required.

I for one am looking forward to this game, because its Portsmouth, a once big club with a great set of fans and their song play up Pompey is good to hear. This should be a hard game for the shrimps because of pompeys attacking forwards and open play pity about their defence. Both clubs will be trying to get as high as possible, so I would expect Jim to be putting a strong side out and play fast attacking football, because when we play that way,we are not a bad side to watch and a hard side to beat.

With neither team having much to play for other than pride ( and the odd win bonus ;) ) I expect this game to be more open than otherwise with some good attacking play from both squads. Pressure is off both clubs so the players can go out and express themselves..... :D :D :D

Tubbs has made a difference going forward, but they have only scored 4 more than we have and 3 of them were against us!
As for their defence they have conceded just one more than us and we consider our defence is solid

15th and 58 points is the best season under Jim. We've never breached the 60 point mark with him at the helm.

We had 63 points in our first league 2 season of 2007/2008.

That was after a terrible finish because we reached the 50 point mark in February with a 2-1 away win against Mansfield town.

Yeah, but Jim wasn't the manager then.

I know , I was just saying we could have our 2nd best ever league 2 finish.

If 3 penalties had gone in we could be much nearer 63 points now.
