PRE MATCH, UN-HOSPITALITY.

Today,my transport manager,a personal friend and season ticket holder at the globe, was treated to a bit of pre match un-hospitality,by 20 or so youths, regularly seen at MFC matches,on the car park at the westgate precinct.

The gang, carrying a large morecambe FC flag, surrounded a car carrying him,his pregnant wife, and her female friend, they banged on the car roof, kicked the sides, shouting vile abuse at them and taunted my friend goading him to get out and fight with them,he is considering quitting supporting the team, and its hard to see why he shouldn't,and we keep hearing,MFC DO NOT HAVE A 'FIRM'

He did complain to a steward, and is emailing the club, before anyone suggests it.

Is this not a police matter? Can't see what stewards can do?

Do their parents know they're up to this sort of stuff? I looked around the crowd today and saw loads of decent youngsters in attendance, many with their parents, but many without.

Can't see what the 'firm' think they're up to...

They are just been utter tools ... You get them at every club

We play at Bury on Monday and they have a young firm which was documented on a tv programme not long ago
Would be interesting if the tools from Morecambe turn up looking for trouble at there place on Monday

From my view on the Berlin Wall, it looked like the stewards were picking them out one by one and escorting them out. It also looked a bit chaotic and hap hazard. The lads who were taken out seemed to be back in the ground shortly after. Seeing those flares being lobbed about would make me seriously consider taking my lads in to that stand.

This firm, and it is an organised firm, is now very established at the club and the lack of action and organisation seems to have helped it on its way.

Stewards were searching individuals who were allowed back when nothing was found on them...last years away game at Bury was my first experience of this bunch of youngsters...and I'm sure they will be there once again...I won't!!

On my way out of the ground of the PMG stand I noticed a lot of people running towards the away end mainly youths not sure if there was any trouble but a lot of people seemed to be running this way asiv something was going on behind the away end section. As of us having a firm, we got the coach bricked at bury in the cup this year an believe one or two got slapped aswell so let's see if the firm step up to the plate when we go there ! Although I believe it's just a few kids supporting us giving it the big'n !

Youngsters running away from stewards at end of game was the issue...not sure why though?

Counted 15 stewards and at least two coppers in the home end today, all there to babysit probably a dozen little scrotums. Sounds like even with all this they were still giving security the runaround.

The Club can't afford to let this continue. We will lose more decent fans and our reputation that once had us labelled the friendliest club in football would disappear also.

Hope this extra security being invested leads to enough evidence to ban the troublemakers.
