Been saying it a while to friends, but really feel sorry for the folk that buy their season tickets or go to the home game on a regular basis and dont go to away games apart from Accrington where we are shit anyway.

Who on earth is going to keep bringing guests to the Globe?

Just saying, like ... they deserve a free beer, coffee or tablet to endure the shite over the last month or 20..

Why am I looking forward to Carlisle next week, but not Shreswbury at home on Tuesday

I was with four newcomers yesterday from the college...first Globe visit, one of them left after 60 minutes, the others didn't think they'd be back...

Don't think it's just about results and performances at home...

they surely must have been inpressed by our adequate stewarding though?


and the deafening wall of sound from our home end!!

did they take time to sample our pies,or chat to any of our elder statesmen from c prem?

Its about time the Board of Directors remembered what our core business is i.e. football.

If the football team is doing well then the other streams of income will also do well.

Quite! The C block hospitality "customers" kill the atmosphere in the PMG stand. They don't come out until after the game has started, they're constantly in and out during the game, go in early for half time, come out late again, and all the while, they're just chatting to eachother, talking on their phones, etc. At the end of the day, most are only there because they've got a free invite from some business or other and don't want to miss a free meal and drink, so tolerate half an hour or so each half out in the cold. We've got season tickets in C, but just for the seat and better view, not the hospitality, but we won't be renewing them this year sadly.

total shite underbank,hospitality,although very lucrative,does not put a huge amount of bums on seats,at most around 100 per match,some games a mere 20 or so,and a good proportion of them are not on a freebie,they are fans who want an enjoyable bit of lunch/drinks/banter,as well as a match to watch,what is it to you if they fancy an early pint at half time,its a free country,most of the hot air aimed at the bench is from block c regulars anyway,you have no argument here at all,total and utter crap.

the hospitality should have its own tunnel to the seats, the issue is they have to queue down the steps in front of the view of others, then queue back up.
It has become more obvious since the fayre on the pitch doesn't keep everyone glued to their seat till the whistle blows.
Should have half an hour half time so we have time to do everything, the players can run to the prom and back in the meantime

lets put something to bed here,there are plenty of season ticket holders and bar users,in fact more so,than hospitality users,in the wright and lord bar at most games,are they to have a private tunnel too?

most season ticket holders are scattered all over,unlike the hospitality seats which are generally all together,so who causes most grief!!

maybe a 'curtain call' like in the theatre would be preferable, i personally think an alcohol ban would be preferable,but im not going to bleat on about that coz it wont happen.

Remember when we finished 4th? Well if you don't, can I remind you that the football was disgusting, long ball bully boy almost rugby style football.

We were however, winning, so the attendances went up, week in, week out.

Similarly under Harvey it was a bit prettier, but we underperformed in big games and lost, and no-one came back.

If the results are there regardless of performance figures go up. If not they go down.

I'm sick of saying this - be careful what you wish for.

we would need around 1000 more home fans a match spending 20 quid a pop just to stop losing half a million quid a year,and thats not going to happen in a month of sundays however the team performs,we when peter mcguigan either gets fed up of shelling out,or falls off his perch,we will be back in the conference before you can say 'tony capaldi!!'

Unless someone else stepped in and continued to bankroll the club then we would fall a lot further than the Conference in my opinion!

No sympathy last night with the hospitality as many of them sat indoors for most of the night unless they watched the game via a new tunnel

well 120 x 44 quid is nearly 6 grand in the bank so who cares?

They have nice curtains in hospitality i bet they are keeping them in the locked open position at the moment!!
