Just noticed an address in our companies database with the spelling Morcombe.
Atleast they got the b in, right??

The BBC got a different spelling every week last season, but they seem to have gone and had a word with themselves over the summer and sorted it out.
a few i've noticed are;
Moorcome
Morecam
Morecum
Morcame
Moorcambe
And that was just from the BBC last season!

I've seen something arrive through the post from the Channel Islands after the address was taken over the phone:
"Markham"

Maybe it's about time we took a stand for our own town's sake. Next time you get a Visa/Mastercard/Amex statement which mis-spells MORECAMBE, query it, refuse to pay it, say you've never heard of the place.
