ongoing argument in household, can anyone tell me who the commentators are? i said one is alan smith?the clown next to me thinks its robbie earl

It is Alan Smith. Robbie Earle is on ITV.

Cheers - but I've followed them for more than 40 years, I'm hardly likely to give up on them after a few bad games.
It was Ian Darke commentating, I think, and Alan Smith chipping in with banalities.
Similar - but recognisably different to those who have an ear for these things - accent to Robbie Earle. Earle's a Potteries lad and Smith was born in Bromsgrove.

One good thing to come out of this is that the Spurs Board (Daniel Levy) has realised that Directors of Football very rarely work in the British game.
