thanks for all your input on my dirty electric thread have since found the LCD a lot cheaper than i was going to buy from lancaster on the net,

but whilst we were looking for lcd tv's

the gas boiler gave up and we were looking for a new one anyway (this just brought it forward a little) had a quote from gas board 3 months ago and they wanted

wait for it

£3000
so i declined there kind offer

anyone point me in the right direction for a good boiler
at a resonable price
from a good local company

thanks

I had a Ferroli pre-mix combi replacement boiler installed by a plumber, J (John?) Mount in February. it has a 5 year all-encompassing guarantee, the work quality was excellent. It cost me £1300 or thereabouts. I was dead pleased with him and the boiler.
He's at 732939

I’ve used Phil Rogerson to install a boiler and they are excellent.

I've just had mosquito screens fitted, so last night I could sleep with the windows open if that helps?

Bollocks to it, I'm staying here!

The price was reasonable and the quality excellent. I'd use them again.

Lune Valley £1300 for a new boiler

Don't tell anyone you had British gas round though or they will quote you £2000 thinking you will think it's a good deal but your actually been taken for a ride.
