Perhaps I'm too much of a cyncic but the 'needs game time' statement by Sammy is surely a disguise for 'we need him off the wage bill'?

Agreed. We are busily creating a 5 man wall of defence across the back but realise at the same time we need someone to score at the other end!. Sammy appears to be indicating he would like to swap a defenders wages for an attackers wages

When Blinks and Mr. T get fit we will also have a few options up front as well

Artell to go out on loan to release a bit of cash sooooooooo we can afford to bring in a striker.
