Away Days

Just as respite from all the doom and gloom hanging over us at the moment, i thought i would check out the difference between a average trip for a morecambe supporter compared to a more centrally positioned side like Port Vale.

The average round trip in league two for us is....330 miles
Port Vale...229 miles.
A big difference especially over the course of a full season.

The team that has to travel the furthest is Exeter....464 miles.

Spare a thought for Barrow.. 498 miles for a average game a mere 11,454 miles in a season. :!:

Amazing facts... a lot of folk would say you need to get out more but not me.

Can I ask if you could publish a league table of this info. Who would be top on that basis? I'm sure it does have an impact on many things, level of away fans especially, although road links must do as well. We and Exeter are fortunate to have good Motorways near but teams like Barrow and Norwich are more isolated I guess.

Well done mate, more of this sort of stuff on here please. 8-)
