I must admit, I'm amazed that this went to court in the first place. Their stewards lose control, Scott ends up in a 'fight or flight' situation because of their incompetence and lashes out. It doesn't sound like he thumped her so hard as to knock her out, it sounds like he just lashed out a 'clipped her'. Wouldn't you think an apology later from both Scott & her club would have been appropriate.

Now then! Don't expect us to protect you from the ladies!!!

Depends what the reason for signing him is? It might be to have a close look at him. It might be to let Scott go on loan, perhaps to a Conference club, so he can get some decent experience? Lewis may then get a contract until the end of the season?

Every year for ages in the seventies and first half of the eighties we used to be at or around the bottom of the NPL. Maybe we'll be hanging around the lower end of League 2 for a few seasons.
We really were crap then! The start of the season goals were twofold. t
1. To avoid re-applying for the Northern Premier League (for our younger readers, there wasn't automatic relegation from the NPL... thankfully!)
2. To finish higher than Lancaster.
