O/T Ticket agency recommendations ?

Postby slackAlice » Mon Jul 07, 2008 9:33 pm

I was just wondering if anybody could recommend one of these ticket agencys. My daughter has a birthday coming up and I was thinking of pushing the boat out with tickets to a BIG event - concert , sporting - not sure yet ? She's ... [God I can barely bring myself to say it].... a Man U fan .. I honestly don't know where I went wrong there; so it could be a big footy match.

You hear a lot of bad story's of people being ripped off ..but as anybody used one a few times and had a good experiences.
Useful Tip No: 44 - Never leave spectacles on a chair.

It might cost a bit more, but Tickemaster certainly guarantee you'll get your tickets. If it's for a football match then just go direct to the club. If you're doing a hospitality thing don't even contemplate speaking to anyone other than the club as you often get ripped off by "Hospitality" events when someone just hires a tent then takes you to the game. Always best just to contact the club direct.

365tickets.com do various events and days out and you can get them on good deals sometimes saving quite a bit on the walk in admission prices.

I would say livenation.co.uk as well but I think they're part of Ticketmaster too.

I've bought a few times off eBay too, but before you do, just check the sellers feedback and go into their history, also make sure you're not buying for an event too close in case you never get the tickets and get them to guarantee you'll receive them within a few days, as if you don't you can then get your money back if you pay by PayPal.
