..has been running on Tuesday nights on Radio Five from 10-11pm with Danny Baker (sadly no Danny Kelly) and last nights was a cracker.
The usual daft stories and amusing anecdotes, however one guy singing "Bohemian Rhapsody"
replacing the lyrics with footballers surnames was especially funny. The first word was "Twiss" and he was mentioned on at least five more occasions, have a listen its on the Five Live page to listen again or download, it's on after about twenty minutes. Very very clever.
Also, every caller has been allocated a team at random by Danny, to support alongside their first love, he picks the names on paper out of a bin, and I have been waiting for us to come out for weeks, last night one caller asked for a northern team and he got us! Sadly, Danny is usually informed about most teams but appeared to know not a sausage about us. Suppose we haven't been around long enough. Next bloke got Rochdale and he immediately knew "Spotland".
Every week it reminds me how the media are obsessed with the top four of the Premiership and little else, this show is for true fans of all clubs, not the armchair or pub experts.
Have a listen and enjoy.
At last, a pleasant non threatening thread!
