Shrimps sign four

Jim signs four lads from the youth set up on one year contracts. Sean Breen, Joe Culshaw, Dan Parkinson and Joe Mwasilie. Jim wants to give them a chance like young Cowperthwaite got. Good little squad coming together now.

Good luck to them. I did find it odd that aside from Cowps the lad that was closest to breaking into the first team (Chris somebody) was released. However, you've got to trust Jimbo's judgement on this given he was the reserves coach last season and he will know better than anybody else who has the ability to cut it here or not.

Good to see Jim entrusting in the Reserves / Youth coming through.

He saw the benefits of this path of course through the lads that Jim Harvey brought through into the first team.

I think Joe Culshaw has played right and left back, as did Niall. Breen has played up front. The other 2 are wingers. Not sure which side is which though. Youngsters seem to swap sides all the time whether full backs or wingers.
