Looks like my number 1 smash hit single, Jim Jim-en-ey, Jim Jim-en-ey, Jim-Jim-Jer-roo is dead in the water now that Spence has gone and doesn't look like returning.

I like to move it move it is catchy, especially when getting hammered away (in the game, not literally).

We should devise chants around some of the Lancashire Hot Pots (band) songs. They have a song that is to the tune of The Wild Rover (which is already a popular football chant);

No, you're wrong. "Spencer is the Answer" is epic and most importantly, original.

Okay, I'll suggest this one (again).

Forget the cheesey tune and light-hearted cheeriness of this version and imagine shouting:

"IF YOU RUN!!" then speeding up as you launch into the last verse, then repeating with another loud "IF YOU RUN.." after the first "..get my kicks, following you around de,di,de,di, der derr!" (ie don't repeat that last line, like they do on this version).

It's our Eric, it's original and it says what we do.... we follow Morecambe about, wherever they play.

This is the worst song ever. I am certain we used to sing it about 40 years ago in the scrattin shed and I am equally certain that there MUST be more to it. Does it ring any bells with ancient wrinklies out there?

'Spencer is the Answer' is by far and away the best song to come out of that drunken bus journey on the way back from Shrewsbury (from now on the home of our annual beach party; you heard it here first). Don't ask JJ to play you the others we came up with! Cringe!

Only if you sing it like YOU would, la de dah. If you, as I said, imagine it shouted like a football chant, it works fine.

"Oooh, walk on, with hope in your heart - ooh you'll never walk alone cos I'll be holding your hand and skipping along with you, dear."

Perhaps the FCM could organise "MBW Choir practise"
