They have met with the Football League to discuss options. Maybe if they left the Rugby posts up we would all score more "goals"!

I can't see that going down well it's a strange place Odsall nearly all open terracing and no seats behind one set of goals just all sponsor boxes, I don't know how they would segregate the fans.

I remember years ago it was meant to have been redeveloped but when I went I couldn't see what they had done apart from build a load of sponsor boxes at one end.

You think the Don Valley is strange for watching football wait until you go here.

The banks of terracing in an oval (it used be a speedway track) remind me of Leigh RMI's old ground.

Truly awful place.

Many moons ago (early to mid nineties) I was moving up the ranks as a rugby league referee. I was on the line for the first time at Odsal for a Bratfut 'A' team game (the reserves) and I was haring up the line to keep up with some winger or other and to my surprise the corner of the ground starts rising and rising. Because it was still used for speedway the curve of the bowl meant that the pitch went up at the corners quite steeply - I almost went arse over tit and was stumbling and bumbling all over the place.

It was Robbie Paul's first ever game in England and the ref that night said to me after the game " he's nowhere near as good as his brother, he's all flashy moves that won't work in the proper league".

The corners still rise up USA Shrimp.

I am not sure it would meet football league requirements.

Oh no please, a truly dreadful place. (though why I should care I can't think). Was an awful place to watch Rugby League which I did in the past...pre "Souper League" days. Has been inproved in recent years, but a cold and windy spot if ever there was one. There is of course perrennial talk in Bradford of the Bulls and the Bantams sharing grounds. The football club generally won't have it, usually it is council inspired. I would not be a popular decision in the Woolen City at all.

Surely it would make more sense to get the the Bulls to move to Valley Parade? That would be a grim away day with a few hundred stood on a giant open terrace miles away from the pitch!

It's all to do with finance. The current owners of Valley Parade are a pension fund. I think it costs Bradford £1.2million a season in rent, which is a lot of money down the tubes. Perhaps if Bradford did move to Odsal it would put pressure on the council to finally pull their finger out with the proposed dual-purpose sports village.

Incidentally, what's happened to Bradford PA? I thought they had an investor who was intending on funding them through the divisions and building a stadium that they would never fill? Also know as Bradford City the second???

I think they had a season at Odsal (or at least part of one) after the tragic fire.

Bradford are staying put. The owners have bought the office block. fair play to them, I certainly wouldn't put my house on Bradford City! :o

"But it still meant the club’s power- brokers, under the guise of newly-formed holding company BC Bantams Limited, had to dig deep again.

Lawn had to take out an overdraft while Rhodes borrowed money against his own house.

“My wife is delighted ...” he sighed with a rueful smile. “We’ve had to part with a lot of money again but at least we have some security. We’re not just throwing money into a black hole.” "
