He got hammered for years when at Spurs but when you listen to what he said and did all those years ago it turns out he was prob right. I once heard him say instead of each club taking their share of Sky money and blowing it all on wages they should put in a central pot and if club wanted to build an academy, training facilities etc they take it from the pot. He knew that when all the clubs got their share they would just blow it all on wages and be no better off. Of course ten years ago all the other chairman just laughed at him.
