Remember him at Birkdale in 1976 when as a nineteen year old he was second to Johnny Miller.
At the eighteenth on the final round, he had to play a chip shot over two bunkers on to the green, except he conjured up a low pitch and run between the bunkers. No-one else could have pictured that shot being possible.
The famous shot from the car park at Lytham in 1979 which was just incredible....
Great memories of a truly great golfer!

Interesting Seve stat, his 3 Open wins were on on 3 different Days, the 1st a Saturday as it used to end then, the 2nd on the Sunday, and His 3rd on a Monday due to a weather delay 8-) 8-).

A true legend and gentleman of the game, will be sadly missed :cry: :cry:

They just showed the 1979 win on ESPN Classic - he took a drop in the car park in the days when it went over your left shoulder.
