The season is coming to a close now so surely preperations for the new season should be well underway at some level within the club. As fans what sort of players are we looking to come in and do a GOOD job and be proud to pull on a shirt for the Shrimps, and where can we get them from? so i ask:-

Q1.(A) Do we need young undiscoverd/highly rated, sort after talent from the lower leagues. Who are relishing the chance to play league football. knowing that this is a reall chance of making it in the dizzy hights of league football?

or

(B) Do we go for players already playing in the league at our level or higher (Having made a name for them selves or starting to). Who are hitting there peak and still have a passion for wanting to do well for the team as well as bettering them selves still?

It goes without saying we should stop picking up journey men who are coming to the end of there careers regardless whether they still can do a job but are prone to injuries and effecting the consisteny and flow of the team.

Q2(A) If we do pick up option A from question 1 more the highly rated talent, do we go all out to make sure we can secure the services of these players and not have them whipped from under our noses from other clubs?

and

(B) If we go in for players who have made a name for them selves or starting to should the board go all out to get the players parent club to accept a offer and for the player to sign?
(just so that it is known i am not knocking the approch the board have now as it works in most cases.)

Q3 (A) who in the lower leagues known or unknown whould you like to see with the shrimps next season and in your mind is targetable?

and

(B) who in the league with a name for them selves or starting to make a name for them selves whould you like to see with the shrimps next season and in your mind is targetable?

Before we even consider the rest of your post, one has to look at your very first sentence. You would, of course, hope that preparations are well underway but Sammy McIlroy's last interview, in which he said we should only concentrate and securing our league status and that other things "would take care of themselves" suggests otherwise.

Rundle and Shuker (and even Capaldi), are proven but not coming to the end of their careers. They should have been very good signings...

Calvin zola? Surley if Burton can afford his wages we can, we have such a big squad if we released a few that would generate more money for more wages. I would love to see the following players at the globe next season = Emilie sinclair, Calvin zola, Hmaza benchif and sean mcConville but they may be out of the question who knows...... Would LOVE to see jimmy ryan but he will be on league 1 next year i think
