I'm amazed that Globe are able to win any contracts for sports related work after the complete and utter mess they've made of our ground.

That's utter nonsense.

Globe Construction, who've undertaken work across the country including many award-winning buildings and for many major companies, are only responsible for the building of the ground.

Globe didn't design the ground, change its specification (for example add on more sponsors boxes at the last minute) or hold the purse strings for the budget. Their contract was simply to build and deliver what was put in front of them.

Talking to people in the construction industry they've all said what an exceptional build job Globe have done. The finishing and materials have all been of the highest standard.

If you've got problems with the ground in its aesthetics, looks, views etc. then fire your blame elsewhere as none of that is Globe Construction's fault.

......and with regards to its quality,I've been surprised how excellent the build has been. It may not be to everybodies taste in terms of design but for me we've got an excellent value for money stadium.

Well put, it's something that can be easily forgotten.

Yes, I apologise, you are quite right. Whilst I have various issues with our new ground the blame should be placed at the feet of those involved in the planning process rather than the people actually carrying out those plans.

Also, from a contractors point of view, far too many chiefs and folk putting their two penneth in.
