Stanners was asked to come back to help out but refused.

Not sure what to make of that.

So pleased for Cowps who played well and JS just gets better.

Probably the most cultured defender we've got. Glad to see him back...but for how long?

I suspect that he'd be in any of Jimbo's team having seen the mutual respect for each other in the reserves.

He's made of tissue paper, so probably not long.

Just back from Rotherham.

I hope Will Haining keeps his place. It's evident that Jimbo is deemed as not good enough for the firsts, whatever. Whilst he's missing Haining is a calming influence at the back, but also has a cultured touch on the ball. Rumour has it he was jettisoned for stating those around him weren't up to the job. Hello, he was right all along. Best defender at the club by a mile.

Can't understand the Stanley stuff and not wanting to come back; surely given we hold his contract? We hold the cards? Stanners and his big ears should play ball.

Saying that, a decent if not overrated servant or not; you can't thump teamates and expect immunity from critiscm.
