Is now the Scunthorpe manager after strong rumour for a week or so now, Sammy to Bury?

You heard it here first!

A few of my Bury supporting colleagues aren't happy. I think one way or another Scunthorpe will be playing Bury next season anyway. Given that Knill has worked hard to take Bury to league one during his time there, you would have thought he'd be eagar to see the job through to the end.

Interesting to read the last bit of the BBC Sport article: BBC Sport: Scunthorpe United appoint Bury manager Alan Knill

BBC Sport wrote:Scunthorpe winger Garry Thompson has been ruled out for the rest of the season after undergoing an operation on a persistent groin injury.

Dowie is 8 to 1 on favourite to be the next Bury Manager.

I heard last night from a well placed agent that Gary Neville will be the man in charge

Wasn't his father, Neville Neville (I kid you not) the Commercial Manager at Gigg Lane for donkeys years ??

Yes we got a bob or two compensation from Scunny for Knill & Brass. It was reckoned Dowie would be in charge for tomorrows match but it seems something went wrong and his odds on getting the job are now lengthening.
Seems Sammy is in the top 4 favourites along with other ex Bury players Phil Parkinson, Danny Wilson and Andy Scott. Any one of those would suit me.

Your old mate Coleman is in there as well but we don't want hoofball.
Although Gary Nevilles family all have or do work for the club I can't see him taking a pay cut just for the priviledge.

Richie Barker is in charge on a temporary basis.

Disappointed in Knill - last season he had a right pop at Dawson for stating he wanted out with 8 or so matches to go, and more or less blamed him that we didn't get in the play offs. He's now gone one step worse.

He was okay but didn't have a plan B if things needed changing.

I think we'll be playing you again next season.

Anybody fancy a punt?

1/3 – Iain Dowie
6/1 – Phil Parkinson
8/1 – Sammy Mcllroy
10/1 – Danny Wilson
11/1 – Ronnie Moore
12/1 – Richard Money
12/1 – Stan Ternent
14/1 – Efe Sodje
16/1 – Dave Penny
16/1 – Ryan Lowe

I bet Duffy was pleased to only be on the bench. Knill will be set for a big clear out.

On the subject of managers I see Paul Ince has walked from Notts. County
