Tonights 6pm Sports show focussed entirely on both ourselves and Accy.

Gary Hunt who has reported on our last 3 games (Quinny on holiday?)summed our team up perfectly for me.

'No creativity in midfield and badly in need of an out and out striker'. In his opinion we lacked a Jimmy Ryan or an Ian Craney, which from someone who reports more often than not on Accy, isn't far off with the truth.

Without saying as much, both he and the show presenter implied that they think that the managerial position at our club could be under revue and that it's quite possible that changes could be made, either enforced or through choice.

One fact that surprised me was that our team at the game at Wycombe all those months ago, has undergone an almost total clear out and that only a few remain in contention for a place tomorrow. Made me wonder if part of our problems have been the constant chopping and changing almost every game in team personnel.

As for who will get relegated, it's felt that both Burton and Hereford are favourites along with Stockport which menas that Barnet would escape, something I'd have no problem with.

Don't think anyone has mentioned this today, but Sammy was on the half 5 Radio Lancs Sports Bulletin yesterday afternoon (Thursday) and mentioned that if he was to be manager next season with us, "investment would have to be made in the team."

How much more 'investment in the team' does he want?

It's not as if he's been refused money to go out and get players. His problem is that he's wasted what money that has been made available and that agents have come out of deals very nicely 'thank you'.

Sorry but that's enough for me. Sammy's only answer is to throw money at the problem. Well money isn't the issue. It's the fact your spunking it away that's the problem. Don't give him another penny.

What we'd give for a Dario Gradi type manager!
I hope the globe is increasing revenue as predicted, we just need to use the money a bit wiser when it comes to players.
Get over it ;)

Craney was an exceptional player just not fit enough. Having heard Capaldi maybe 20 mins of head tennis wasn't getting him there.

As for Jimmy Ryan. If he stood outside Christie with a huge sign saying 'SIGN ME NOW' it would have been less obvious he was available. Out of contract, players player of the season, fans player of the season and club captain at 23. Bag of s**** obviously. We begged the club to sign Jimmy Ryan but was told Sammy wasn't after midfielders. We went on to sign five of them and most of them not a scratch on him.

Seems to have found his old self once more at Stanley and celebrating with vigour the goals he's scoring :?
