Hi all,

I'm organising a charity match at Lancaster City's Giant Axe and would really appreciate your support, especially as it has strong Shrimps connections.

The match will be held on Sunday, May 1st, kick off 1pm. It will be between the Lancaster 'Legends' side of 1995/6 (Northern Prem Div 1 winners) v a Bay Radio Allstars XI.

It's a benefit game to raise money for CancerCare, our charity of the year.

We've confirmed John Coleman as appearing in the Lancaster side so you'll be able to see Coley taking to the field once again. We've also invited the family of Gary Dullaghan along and we'll be paying a special tribute to Gary on the day too.

I'm currently putting the Bay Allstars team together and hopefully will include at least one representative from the current squad. To be confirmed asap. We've already got the likes of Barrow joint bosses Dave Bayliss & Darren Sheridan confirmed in our team.

There’ll also be activities for the whole family to enjoy, with plenty of food and drink on offer throughout the day.

The funday will get underway at midday, so bring the whole family along.

Admission is just £5 for adults, £2 for kids or a family ticket for £10.

More details to follow in due course, meantime, hope to see you on the day and spread the word!

Cheers,

Dave.
