http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/lanc ... 652307.stmNow I heard about this on the 10 O'clock news on BBC Radio 2.
At 11 O'clock I was listening to The Bay (You know, the LOCAL Radio Station)....
Not a mention!!!
Seems the isolation of one of the local villages comes way down the pecking order behind two cyclists returning from New York, two teenagers being served ASBO's and some function by the Ulverston Rotary Club!

Photo? Anyone going to take a trip out there especially?
As an aside, the QE2 was in Douglas Bay yesterday morning but I didn't know until after she'd gone.

Wonderful place.
Spent many happy hours in the early 60's fishing with my dad and the Smith family for salmon
I never caught out, but.....memories...memories....memories....especially of my dad!

....a British treasure destined for Dubai...as a floating gin palace.
Sad...very sad.

Part of The Ruby in the Smoke, an historical drama starring Billie Piper was filmed at Sunderland Point a couple of years ago.
I used to like cycling down that lane that led to Sambo's Grave.

I did just before 12 but as I went through Overton I had to get out of the way to let a very large crane past coming from Sunderland Point so I thought photo opportunity gone and headed back to the game.

Lady Barbara Sunderland Point,
Thanks for to eveyone who has viewed my photo taken at Sunderland Point.
I understand the boat has been taken away for restation, anyone know where it's been taken to or who the new owner is?
Also can I ask how was the photo found? ie google.
You can also find a good photo of Lady Barbara in bayphotographics stream on Flicka, can be reached via my contacts in my stream.
