Yes I did but

"calamity keeper Joe Anyon is set for a month long loan move to Sammy McIlroy's Morecambe.

Anyon recently lost his place in the Imps first eleven following a number of mistakes and a drastic lack of form "

Does not fill me with confidence.

That was the same form that Barry was in when he came to Morecambe. Our management has a strong history of getting the best out of keepers and securing the best men between the sticks so I'm fairly confident that Anyon will do well.

I'd rather Barry was playing though.

Agreed, whereas Schwan Jalal went the other way. As you say good luck to the lad, we will make him feel wanted and bring his confidence back, just wish it wasn't in Bury/Bradford week.

So if this is correct, who will be Captain tomorrow? Maybe someone will get the armband for his Birthday.

Could be a few twists yet.

Our O.W.S. states Barry is doubtful for tomorrow and an experienced keeper will be training this afternoon

What is wrong with our second keeper? All season he has to wait for the unfortunate to happen to Barry to get a game, and then doesn't.

Reserve goalie must be the worst football job.

Our second keeper's Facebook would indicate a deal has gone through and he isn't a happy chappy!

Walker isn't happy, taken from facebook:

Laurie Walker:
this season cannot end quick enough :-( had enough.

You can't blame him for feeling like that. I suppose a keeper referred to as a "calamity" who we've never seen before would be the safer option rather than use our back-up keeper who has trained alongside Roche all season

Clean-sheet for us tomorrow then!

Loanee might be comming in but does that mean he's guarantee'd the game. Were gonna need a back up to whoever plays, so he could yet be on the bench and Laurie Walker plays. If he doesn't then why sign him at all.

Saw he was injured. I thought he should've been subbed as a precaution. Just shows who should be manager of Morecambe     !

The Club have confirmed that new Joe will take old Joe's No.32 shirt.

An interesting decision for tomorrow as he has not played in the first team since January 15th. He will however have a point to prove after Bury scored 5 against him at Lincoln. (Just one more than they did against Baz)

Sammy said in his player interview that Roche is out for Tues.

Feel a bit sorry for Walker. Then again, we got a loan keeper in for Drench at Wembley but it was our "back-up" Scott Davies who started (and obviously did well incidently).

We should give Walker a start with Anyon on the bench rather than start with a keeper that hardly knows the rest of the team.

I wonder if Gary Hunter still has Old Joe's shorts......Didn't he win them in Stew's raffle? :D
