I think I have isolated our main problem this season, so many changes at the club but a constant still remains.

GLOBEY THE GLOBEBOT IN!!!

The most realistic successful sucessor on there would be Trollope, but i wouldn't want any replacement till the season ends.

Ockers always used to say Jim Magilton had a house in Southport you know

Trollope for me experience of getting out of this league just would he move north.

id like Lawrie Sanchez he had four successful years at Wycombe then left there to manage Northern Ireland and after 7yrs he left there for the Fulham job who then sacked him after 5mins wanting instant success.

but its his experience what impresses me from that Wimbledon side from the 80s and early 90s with that old crazy gang team spirit what made them punch above there weight for over a good decade

now if he could bring that to Morecambe who just like Wimbledon only had a top flight fan base of 3000 and had limited resource and finances but still remained successful

that's who we should try and emulate

but to be honest the location would be a problem.

i cant see him moving up from London unless we offered him silly money to uproot him

Without presuming anything but I like every person on the planet realises McIllroys tenure will end at some stage...if you are looking for a replacement then i'd plump for Joe Royle... success at 3 N.W clubs as a manager and has a vast scouting network to boot.

But we don't play in blue, sure he's been quoted as saying he will only manage clubs who wear blue.

Maybe he could step in for 3 or 4 away games each season
