The Globe

There is no atmosphere in the place, no lift for the team. Second half at Christie kicking towards the North Stand could give us that lift. I fear the tactic of depriving the home end of facilities and forcing people into the Main Stand has back fired, teams not being intimidated, and players are not being lifted. At no point today did you feel an heroic come back was on the cards, the fans didn't and neither did the players.

Closing the away end for matches gives the impression that we are watching(and participating in) a practice match.

Thought there was an atmosphere today

could hear chanting outside on the way in
pity it was coming from the away end :(

Thought the atmosphere was pretty good bearing in mind we were losing 0-3

Think people have rose tinted specs about CP on an average league game like today. It wasn't much different.

All I ask is that those who want an atmosphere, should get behind the goal and sing their selves horse!

rightly or wrongly, things have not worked out as everyone would have liked, the new supporters group (youth division) can liase with the club and turn things around close season, i would suggest personally the following things should be put in place next year

1 a youth policy
2 a manager with one job
3 a player called craig stanley
4 a captain who is not a keeper
5 quid a kid as standard for all games for all kids
6 a manager called jim bentley
7 potts pies
8 a decent effort to give the home end fans the feeling they are not cattle
9 the thick steward telling fans to sit down even though they are stood at the back sacked
10 christie park

All I meant was that either you are a part of the problem or part of the solution.

If you like an atmosphere, sing and shout. If you don't, then move to the North Terrace or Main Stand and enjoy the quiet life.

You can blame the team, the manager, the board, the pies, the beer or the ground itself, but ultimately the atmosphere is down to us fans!

oxford blew us away, but to be honest, that used to happen at christie anyway, our team is a bunch of blokes on a good wage delivering eff all to fans that spend all their spare money and leisure time supporting them, the fans are not to blame, its not even the club, its the management or the team, i will not go down the customer route, but we look gutless and clueless and it must be some ones fault :?:

I know what you mean about the atmosphere it's not just the singing.

At CP when there was some attacking play even if noone was singing it felt like there was a roar around the ground or when we got a corner etc the noise levels went up but now it just seems flat and we don't get that same noise/atmosphere that used to be created.

Spud, Until you can spell liaise, or liaison you've got no chance mate.
Same with accommodation, that ain't on this thread, but it lets down loads of folk who are offering it!

I couldn't agree more as this most certainly ended my interest, I still visit Christie Park if only to pick up all the reductions from a failing store the town didn't need or want

In the words of Ian Dury 'WHAT A WASTE'!

Doesn’t matter whose Manager; no home form and you’re in trouble.
Last season finished 4th

POINTS AVAILABLE POINTS
HOME 48 69 70%
AWAY 25 48 36%

This season relegation fight

POINTS AVAILABLE POINTS
HOME 19 48 40%
AWAY 15 45 33%

So what’s going on – away form home playoff – home form relegation. Same Manager and Players why are we finding it so hard at home?

I thought the atmosphere was quite good, we all seemed to have fun in the second half anyway.

Don't let the football spoil your day

Interestingly not a single back four player of recent games featured in last seasons play off. Defence was the problem last season and is the same again this.

Could the reasons for it could be about player selection? In addition the present midfield only has TWO players who featured as well.

Missing the point - Same Manager and Players play home and away this season; Home form Relegation; Away form Playoffs.
