Did they build Lincoln Cathedral after the Eiffel Tower then? :D

Ite easy to misinterpret.

The useless fact was slightly misepresented by Matty and Quinny. It was featured on TV this week, and was the tallest building in the world for over 250 years, before the Eiffel Tower! And it was over 250 years before the Eiffel Tower.

But obviously without the punctuation, it didnt come out quite right.

Good approach play today, just need a forward!

Think it was on the one show I remb it been on because they were on about the new building in London which will be the highest in the EU.

Northampton
The 127.45 m (418 ft 1.7 in) tall Express Lift Tower is a dominant feature and visible from most of the town. A Terry Wogan radio phone-in during the 1980s to came up with the name "Northampton Lighthouse" as Northampton is one of the furthest places from the sea. It is also known as the "Cobblers' Needle". It was built for testing new lifts at the Express Lifts factory, now closed. This structure would have been the tallest building in the world 2571BC had it been built in those times.

I went to Great Yarmouth's model village and they had a mini Blackpool tower.

Your wrong, the Great Yarmouth mini tower was made out of match sticks and not steel like the Blackpool one.

hodgie, your youth is befuddling your mind, the polo tower is made of mince, the only bonafide tower material, so the matchstick tower is not a qualified tower :!:
